In-Person Drivers Ed Course Includes:

(Required for ages 15-18)

• 9 Day Instructor Led two-hour classes not including weekends

  • Learners Permit is not required for enrollment or participation in classroom sessions. However the Learners Permit is required for driving sessions

  • Curriculum includes - lectures, video instruction, variety of learning activities, exams

  • Classes are offered at different high schools around the Salt Lake Valley.

• 6 Hours of Behind the Wheel driving

  1. Multiple pick-up locations in the Salt Lake Valley

  2. State approved drivers education vehicle provided with instructor breaking system and dashboard multi-direction camera

  3. Driving sessions are typically scheduled with other students present in the vehicle

     Important Requirement: Must have at least 10 hours of behind the wheel driving practice before driving with school instructors. It’s critical for the safety of the student and instructor that students understand and demonstrate the basic driving skills to navigate neighborhoods and main roads. They will not be able to schedule their driving sessions until this requirements has been met.
